Guest lectures

• 22-24 April 2008 - Geert and Tom taught a two-day seminar on writing press releases at the University of Milan. Presentation slides can be downloaded here (.ppt Geert) and here (.ppt Tom).
• 4 March 2008 - Tom gave a guest lecture about his PhD research on newswriting at Lessius University College. Slides can be downloaded [here].
• March 2007 - Geert gave a guest lecture about research on press releases at the Hogeschool Gent (Belgium).
• September 2006 - Tom gave a guest lecture about his PhD research at the University of Utrecht (The Netherlands). The presentations slides can be downloaded here (in Dutch).

Flemish Science Week

October 2006 - Teaming up with Ghent University colleague Bart Deygers, Tom organized and taught two news production workshops for high school seniors. Based on fictitious events, the students wrote press releases and news articles. Some of their work can be found here (in Dutch).
